Frequently asked questions

Which browsers does ClaroMail support?

ClaroMail works on Chrome, Brave, Edge, Vivaldi, and Opera. Install from the Chrome Web Store — those browsers can use the same listing. On Opera, Claro opens in a tab instead of a side panel.

Chrome says “Proceed with caution” / Enhanced Safe Browsing

That warning is Chrome, not a block and not a sign ClaroMail is unsafe. It appears for people who turned on Enhanced Safe Browsing (chrome://settings/security) when they install a new store listing from a new publisher. ClaroMail is on the Chrome Web Store. Click Continue to install. Standard Safe Browsing usually does not show this. The extra prompt fades after Google treats the publisher as established (typically a few months of a clean listing). It is not a virus scan, and it is not Microsoft.

Does ClaroMail delete my mail permanently?

No. Cleanup is a soft-delete: messages move to Deleted Items. They stay recoverable in Outlook until you empty that folder yourself.

Do you store or copy my emails?

No. ClaroMail does not copy your mailbox to our servers. Scan, soft-delete, and block run through Microsoft Graph on the account you sign into. See the privacy policy for details.

What does “block” do?

Block creates a server-side inbox rule on your Microsoft mailbox. Future mail from that sender (or domain) can be handled even when the extension is closed — in Outlook Web, desktop, and mobile.

I cleaned too much. Can I undo it?

Yes. Use Recovery in the side panel to find matching mail in Deleted Items and restore it. You can also restore from Outlook’s Deleted Items, and optionally remove the block rule.

I can’t sign in

Confirm you’re using a Microsoft account ClaroMail supports, then try Sign out and sign in again. Check that the Azure app (client) ID is set if you’re still in setup. If it still fails, email hello@claromail.app with what you see on screen.

What is the Keep list?

Keep marks trusted addresses or domains so they stay out of future scans — for example adobe.com or hr@company.com. You can add or remove items anytime in the extension.

How does pricing work?

Try Claro free: full mailbox analysis and up to 100 cleans, no card required. Inbox Clean is $19.99 once for unlimited cleaning for 7 days. Return Clean is $5 anytime for mail that piled up since your last cleanup. No subscription. Details: pricing.

Which mailbox does ClaroMail clean?

Only the Microsoft account you sign into in the extension — typically your Outlook.com / Microsoft 365 mailbox for that sign-in. It does not clean other accounts in the browser.
